We Are Committed to Quality
Our mission is to provide the best possible environment to players to learn or play the game. This applies to kids as well as adults.
As we are evolving as a Club, we constantly look for improvements in what we do – this is why we have received the prestigious OSA Club Excellence – GOLD Award every year since its inception. Not many clubs in Ontario can measure up. We maintain our own equipment and operate an indoor artificial turf training centre all year, along with municipal outdoor fields. We are working closely with the Town of Milton to improve standard of care of Milton’s soccer parks.
We apply ourselves to recreational soccer the same way we do to the competitive side of it. After all, recreational youth players provide the foundation of our competitive program and are equally deserving of proper teaching tools and coaches as are our competitive players.
All our coaches involved in technical skills development of children MUST now meet the requirements which the OSA mandates for coaches of competitive teams. This means that our coaches must, at the minimum, have the following credentials:
– Present a recent Vulnerable Sector Screening certificate from the local police department
– Obtain the Respect in Soccer Certificate
– Attended the NCCP Make Ethical Decisions course (competitive coaches only)
– Attended the age-appropriate OSA Technical Course
– Participate in Continuing Coaching Education or be an active soccer player
– Maintain an 80% attendance ratio during the season.
For our Adult Leagues, we use league management systems that provide easy access to registration, schedule and up to date schedules, along with automated game sheet creation and built-in maps to fields, along with a smart phone app.
We pay more for quality referees, a crucial component in enjoying a good quality game. Adults play on higher priced Premium fields and no game is ever cancelled (that is, will be made-up if abandoned for weather reasons). We offer a divisional approach according to the performance level of participating teams.
Most of all, we are enforcing OSA Discipline to ensure that games are of good quality and are played according to our motto: Friendship & Respect.
We are listening!
